Split intelligence Gagan

Static 4-concept exploration of how the app can surface contextual split suggestions without being intrusive. Each frame shows one distinct UI pattern for nudging users toward smarter splits — ghost bar, mode suggestion banner, trip-mode strip, and quiet inline cues — all coexisting on the same base "split how?" screen.

What to test

  • Frame 01 (ghost bar) — dotted ghost overlay shows the previous 50/30/20 split behind the current equal bar; "apply" pill lets you accept it with one tap
  • Frame 02 (banner + mode suggestion) — title inference ("taj goa beach room" → hotel → Shares); observe the 1px teal halo on the Shares pill while Equal stays active
  • Frame 03 (trip-mode strip) — trip-mode chips above the segmented show who owns each category (🏨 Aarav, ✈ You, 🚖 Priya, 🍜 …); current category highlighted
  • Frame 04 (quiet inline cues) — three non-intrusive patterns coexisting: tip/tax checkbox row, per-person pairwise whispers (↳ last 5 splits: paid 60% avg), and a round-the-remainder toggle at the bottom

Components used

  • ghost bar — dotted overlay on the split bar showing historical split ratio
  • suggest-banner — full-width nudge strip above segmented control
  • seg-btn.suggest — teal-halo variant of segmented button for AI-suggested mode
  • trip-strip — category-assignment chips for trip mode
  • tax-row — optional tip/tax checkbox row between bar and person rows
  • lr-whisper — muted sub-line per person showing historical payment patterns
  • round-line — bottom strip for round-the-remainder toggle
