Group Designed by Claude

A redesign of the group screen built on calm hierarchy and one deliberate action. The header states your balance in one line; settling is an explicit, honest step, not a fling. Use the tweaks panel to switch view (transactions / balances) and state (active / pending / settled).

Why this approach is better

  • Calm header, separated affordances. The existing group header crams identity, a balance hero, a pay pill, a 2-slide swipeable viz carousel, three stats, and an expand-to-settings drawer into one card that is itself a tap-to-expand button. Tap card = settings, tap pill = pay, swipe inside = change viz — mixed affordances that invite mis-taps. Here settings is an explicit ···; the balance is one line.
  • One deliberate settle. A single "settle → Rohan" opens the same honest confirm sheet as the home and moves to pending on confirm. No swipe-to-settle, no radial long-press — Settld's own principle 7 flags long-press as undiscoverable. Gestures may accelerate, but the visible button always exists.
  • Number-first balance. Your position is a hero figure (PCD §7), not buried under a who-paid ribbon and three stat tiles.
  • Pending surfaced. The "you paid, waiting for them to confirm" state — skipped by the existing prototypes — is a first-class row here.

What to test

  • Tweak view: transactions ↔ balances (simplified "fewest payments" flows)
  • Tap settle → confirm sheet → pending state
  • Open settings via the ··· in the top nav (bottom sheet)
  • Tweak state: active / pending / settled
  • Resize narrow — the frame auto-scales (mobile fix)
